Yes. However, as you may know, twins can get quite cosy in your womb and cuddle up to each other, so if you are considering a 3D/4D scan, the best time would be between 22 and 26 weeks. A multiple pregnancy surcharge of $50 apply due to the additional scanning time required.
Baby is boss! We always do everything we can to get the very best images possible, but each baby will scan differently depending on its age, its position, the amount of fluid present. To obtain a 3D/4D Ultrasound images, our waves need to travel through fluid. More fluid in front of baby’s face, means better quality. If the baby is right up against the placenta or the side of the uterus, the waves have to travel through these to and back from the face, causing a cloudy look.
Sometimes, if the baby is persistently facing downwards, towards the spine or if the hands and feet are covering the face, it may be difficult to achieve facial images. If this happens we may ask you to take a short stroll in order to get your baby moving. If baby is not cooperating in changing position in the appointment schedule time, we will offer you a complementary re-scan at our location in Menai. Or you can choice a 25% refund of your package price.
