Drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your ultrasound helps improve the clarity of amniotic fluid, which enhances image quality. Staying well-hydrated ensures the best possible view of your baby’s features.
Have a Light Snack Before Your Scan
Eating a small snack about 30 minutes before your session can help encourage baby movement. A more active baby increases the chances of capturing different expressions and positions during the scan.
Schedule Your Scan at the Right Time
Choosing a time when your baby is typically more active can result in better imaging. Many parents find that mid-morning or early afternoon sessions work best for getting great 3D images.

Our 3D and 4D packages cover 13 to 34 weeks of pregnancy, and every package is booked directly with us, with no referral needed.
When should I book my 3D scan?
For the most detailed and expressive 3D images, we recommend booking between 26 and 32 weeks. By then your baby’s facial features are well developed and there is still room to see them clearly. Earlier scans from 13 weeks are a lovely way to see your baby’s shape and movement.
What will I take home?
Every 3D and 4D package includes your baby’s 3D images and 4D videos on USB, an audible heartbeat trace and printed images in 4"x6" size, posted to you. Packages start from $160 between 13 and 22 weeks, and $180 between 23 and 34 weeks. See packages and pricing for what each one includes.

Visiting from the Sutherland Shire or Macarthur
Our main clinic is at 10 Anzac Rd, Menai, close to home for families in Bangor, Illawong, Barden Ridge, Alfords Point, Engadine and Sutherland. You can also find us at Macarthur Square in Campbelltown.
The Menai clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, so a scan can fit around work and family. Appointments are necessary, so call 0423 550 063 or send an enquiry to confirm your time.
